A Right Royal Picnic...

Wedding Fever...

Today we celebrated Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's forthcoming wedding! We had a street party in the hall with suitably patriotic decorations.

If this is how we celebrate the Royal Wedding, imagine how we will celebrate Miss Arnold's!

Andy Goldsworthy inspired...

Outdoor Learning...

This week we had a plant orientated week. We finally transplanted our sunflowers from their pots out into the ground! We talked as a team about the needs of a sunflower, discussing the amount of room the roots would need so they are not fighting for minerals and water!
We planted them in different areas around the field so will see which plants have the best results and why! Updates next week on the blog...

We also learnt about the artist and sculptor Andy Goldsworthy. We watched a video of him working with slate and using a sharp pointy piece to draw on the others. We also watched that when it started to rain he lay on the floor, then jumped up after a while and he was left with a dry patch of his body - natural art!

He gave us inspiration and we used all the amazing natural resources we have around us. See the results below. Can you guess what some of the art represents?

The Big Sing!

BEST. DAY. EVER!

We had the best time going to the Royal Norfolk Showground for the Big Sing! We had two special singer guests, Alexandra Burke and Kirsten Joy (from Clean Bandit!).

We danced, sang and couldn't stop smiling the whole way through. Our Teachers embarrassed us lots too. We were lucky to sit right at the front!

It was like a real life festival with portaloos and everything.

See the photos and videos below...
