Autumn is in the air...
Last Tuesday, the Reception children enjoyed their first Swallowtail Federation day with the other Reception children from Catfield and Sutton. We were very pleased to host the event at Hickling! The theme of the day was Autumn with the children also enjoying a fitness session with Premier Sport!
They all had a fun day; meeting some familiar faces and making new friends too!
The Queens Knickers...
Today we invited our family in to join us for a maths cafe! In the morning we worked hard to make a royal banquet, fit for the Queen. After that we made royal bunting ready for our adults to arrive.
We enjoyed maths activities linked to a book called The Queens Knickers by Nicholas Allan. We had to make repeating pattern pants, decide which pants the Queen would wear on what day of the week and solve some multiplication pants problems for the Queen!
