Christmas Week!

Nativity, Christmas Lunch and more...

This week we were extremely busy with Christmas activities! On Wednesday we performed our Nativity; It's a Cracker, in the Church to a packed house. All the children were brilliant and really sang their hearts out. We were very proud of each and every one of them as we know how much hard work they all put into the practises.

See photos below...

We also enjoyed our Christmas lunch today! It was a jolly occasion with special guests joining us. The children even got served by the teachers too. Finally the children received a present of a book from Mrs Baxter who comes in to hear the children read each week. It was all very exciting!

Christmas Crafts Afternoon...

What a lovely afternoon...

This afternoon we had out Christmas Links afternoon. Mrs Elliott from the Methodist Chapel came in and read a Christmas story.

We then had a range of activities to chose from! We enjoyed making lots of decorations for our homes.

We're in the paper!

Local and National...

We have been spreading the word about Hickling Infant School and how great it is! First we were in for the great news about our Ofsted result in the summer and the opening of our new Pre-School.

The word then spread about our 'Reverse Advent Calendar' and we got contacted by the Times Educational Supplement (TES) and then the local EDP paper.

Thank you so much to everyone for supporting such a worthwhile cause and helping to spread the news about how amazing our little school is!

BEST TRIP EVER!

Inspiring the next generation...

Yesterday we went on our 'marble jar treat' to Norwich. First we went to Carrow Road and met a man called Stephen. He took us on a tour of the football ground, taking us into the changing rooms and the press areas! We then had lunch overlooking the pitch, watching the men cut the pitch!

After that we walked alongside riverside to Gravity. We had THE BEST TIME bouncing around on the trampolines. Anyone who was in assembly would have heard how the much the children loved the experience...we only wish you could have been there to experience it to!

Hopefully the photos below will give you a good idea our our day...
